The Philosophy of Aristotle

Aristotle was born in northern Greece in the village of Stagira. It was the full range of education from Plato, he was 20 years of his life at the Academy of Plato. After the death of his teacher, Aristotle went to Macedonia, where he played a role in teaching the young Alexander the Great. With the approval of Alexander he returned to Athens, 335 BC, where he founded his own school in the Lyceum. It was here that he spent his days writing,Teaching and research.

The surviving works of this great man are perhaps only a small number of its total production. These include his views and thoughts on a wide range of topics, these are the philosophy, logic, ethics, biology, physics, politics, psychology, and rhetoric. The style of his compositions includes the fact that he was thinking, and develop his ideas as he has ever written. For this reason it is often said that his work is not easy to read becausethe lack of power and consistency is still an impressive body of knowledge that has played an important role in the development of modern society.

Its logical treatises (known as Organon) aimed to develop a universal method of thinking to everything you can to understand the meaning of reality. For example, in the essay "Categories", Aristotle proposed a concept that the matter in terms of status, would call activity, andProperties.

Another famous work is the text "On Interpretation, Prior Analytics, Posterior Analytics," which examines the true nature of deduction and inference, outlined a system that was called categorical logic.

Aristotle had a strong fascination for science either Plato or Socrates, perhaps due to the fact that his father was a doctor of fame. Has built-in logical methods taught by Socrates, an understanding of how the developmentthat the physical world worked.

It is often said that he is the father of modern science. He had a special interest in biology and in fact worked on classifying hundreds of plant and animal species in a way that could be easily understood. In fact, when Alexander the Great was traveling extensively through western Asia, he commanded his servants to bring plants back to his master for his study.

Clean up what at first seemed the chaos was one of the principles of the oldGreek philosophy. Aristotle played an important role in the development of the government. The system has created is still in use today, as witnessed in the analysis of modern democracies, dictatorships, republics, monarchies and oligarchs.

After the death of Alexander in 323 BC, Athens rebelled against the Macedonians in a bloody massacre. The anger was directed to Aristotle because of his background and connections. He left his beloved school and fled to Athens with a small retinue of followers.The last years of his life where spent in the north of the country near the spot where he was born.
