?Over the last week or so, we have been exploring the the various purchaser opinions of their Vornado AQS (Air Quality System) indoor air purifier. ?Generally speaking, the reviews lean towards the Vornado AQS having higher ratings in performance and ease to maintain and ease to clean.
There were however quite a few misgivings about the higher price points among the users who were not previous customers with Vornado.
The recurring customer loyal to the Vornado brand came in with the pre-expectation that they would pay in the upper end of the air purifier market. The trade-off for the quality, durability and American Made reliability apparently was worth it to them.
?Additionally some customers were also not complementary of the Vornado AQS?s noisiness, particulary on high speed (Vornado AQS is a three speed) One purchaser even went as far as to compare it to a jet engine taking off. Others looked at it as soothing background noise (white noise for sleeping) and even welcomed respite from the clunky urban background sounds seen in many modern neighborhoods.
A great suggestion to alleviate the admittedly higher noise volume on the high speed is to look at the air purifier?s role differently.? Instead of using it for short bursts, let the auto settings run for long periods of time in one room out of view.
The advanced technology of Vornado AQS or some of the other newer competitors will allow for outstanding grab range without any issues dealing with noise. The lower speeds still allow for superior range. They just take longer to do the job.??
The bottom line according to a majority of the customers is that leaving the air purifier in at a lower speed for a longer time enables for a long-term superior breathing experience in the room.
?We took a much closer look at the thoughts and impressions of people who had purchased their unit from Home Depot. Generally Home Depot customers always prove to be very savvy about how a product compares with others in a particular market in the areas of features and benefits. This makes their reviews especially helpful.
Again, the reviews are largely positive while maybe less gushing than what you might find on Amazon. One customer from Greenwood, Delaware in the United States noticed a difference throughout the entire house.?
This is an interesting point. Although a good air purifier is often rated to a certain room square footage, it will make improvements throughout the house that overtime are noticeable.
Think of your house as one big enclosed world, sharing the same air.
