Selling Social CRM Through the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace: Establishing Web Presence with Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace

Webfortis is a Microsoft partner with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. As an early adopter of the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, Webfortis made its social add-on for Microsoft Dynamics CRM available to customers via the web. Although this add-on, called Parrot, has only been listed on the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace for a short period of time, Webfortis has seen results in growing visibility, brand recognition, and sales, with one customer of Parrot growing into a deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM that exceeded 100 seats.

Based in California, Webfortis is a Microsoft partner that focuses solely on delivering powerful solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

In pursuit of further building its expertise in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Webfortis took part in an early-adoption program for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. Through this program and the effort to prepare one of its add-ons for the new solution, the company became an early adopter of the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, an online portal where customers can find partner solutions. ?The Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace is getting a lot of attention from Microsoft, and customers are going to it organically,? explains Marc Wolenik, CEO of Webfortis. ?It made a lot of sense for us to present our solutions there.?

Recognizing the value of the marketplace, Webfortis listed its solution called Parrot?a social add-on for Microsoft Dynamics CRM that enables businesses to draw on information from Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. While potential customers can find Parrot through the search tools on the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace site, Webfortis also links to the marketplace listing from its company website. ?By linking to the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, we can demonstrate to prospective customers that our product is best of breed,? says Wolenik. ?They can see our product at the top of the search results and associate us with a range of user reviews and feedback.?

Although Parrot has only been listed on the marketplace for a short period of time, Webfortis has seen results in growing visibility, brand recognition, and sales. Says Wolenik, ?Providing our add-on on the marketplace has opened the door for deployments of Microsoft Dynamics CRM that exceed 100 seats.?

Helping grow traction for Parrot, Webfortis makes particular use of the Try It feature of the Microsoft Dynamics Marketplace, which empowers prospects to try out the add-on for themselves, helping to speed their conversion to a customer.

?When customers can go to one place to find potential solutions, see the ranking of those solutions along with user reviews, and even try those solutions for themselves, there?s a real value to them,? adds Wolenik. ?And when they see our solution at the top of those rankings, it?s certainly good for our brand and our business as well.?

In the future, Wolenik envisions Webfortis expanding its presence on the marketplace to include additional products. He says, ?We?ll soon be bringing our full range of solutions to the marketplace, as both our company and Microsoft are fully committed to it.?
