Today is my first day here on Toddler Times! I sort of feel like a youngster with swimmies on, bobbing around in the deep end of the pool, not quite sure how I got here. I swear that I had a baby very recently, but suddenly people are calling him a toddler. Yesterday was my graduation from Baby?s First Year, and so today marks my entry into the Toddler Room.
Toddler is a funny term to me, since it seems to encompass such a wide range of ages. A one-year-old and a three-year-old are both toddlers, but they couldn?t be more different. (Other than the occasional peeing of pants or screaming tantrum.) I loved writing about my little guy while he was a baby, but I?m also excited to learn from experienced mamas with kiddos older than mine. We have so much to learn from each other.
So what can you expect from me? ?
General banter and babble about life with my one-year-old Cullen, my two crazy dogs, my fabulous husband, and our adventures in Seattle. I?ll probably also complain about the rain. You have been warned.
When I?m not writing here, you can also find me over on Daily Garnish,?my personal blog full of original vegetarian recipes, as well as an overload of baby and family photos. In my free time (stop laughing), I love running and walking, making and eating baked goods, chasing my family around with a camera, and trying to find my inner-crafter. My current efforts involve trying to learn to knit a hat and making holiday wreaths to give out as Christmas presents. Oops, spoiled the surprise. Leave some extra room in your suitcase, Mom.
I?m looking forward to sharing my adventures here, as well as hearing about all the wonderful things that lie ahead for me in toddler-hood. Thanks for having me!
