In this regard HTC Desire SV comes with dual-SIM capability, so much praised in India and other emerging markets.
With dual-SIM features customers will be able to use two SIM cards in the same device, thus they won?t have to spend additional money on a second phone.
Given the fact that this is a brand new device, HTC Desire SV is now available for purchase in India for Rs 21,799 outright, which is about $395/?310.The smartphone may seem overpriced, but HTC actually announced a slightly higher suggested retail price, Rs 22,590 ($410/ ?320).
For the time being, Saholic is the only Indian retailer to offer the Desire SV, but more will probably make it available in the following days.
HTC Desire SV ships with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box, and there?s no telling whether it will get a Jelly Bean upgrade in the future.
Even though HTC recently confirmed it wouldn?t upgrade smartphones that pack 512MB of RAM or less, it remains to be seen whether the Desire SV, which comes with 768MB of RAM, is eligible for a Jelly Bean update.
The Desire SV sports a 4.3-inch Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.
The phone is equipped with a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon processor clocked at 1GHz, which is complemented by an Adreno 203 GPU and 768MB of RAM.
There are 4GB of storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD memory card. On the back, the Desire SV packs an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.
