Many will walk for a great cause on Saturday morning to battle pancreatic cancer in a 5K walk and run.
Pancreatic cancer is the fourth deadliest cancer in the USA and expected to grow to the second deadliest by 2020.
It is estimated that approximately 44,000 Americans will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer this year with a five-year survival rate of just 6 percent?. Pancreatic cancer has the lowest relative survival rate of any major cancer.
Join our own Sheree Paolello and others when they walk in the PurpleStride Walk for Pancreatic Cancer at Lunken Airport Playfield located at 4744 Playfield Lane in Cincinnati.
The 5K starts at?10 a.m., and the walk benefits the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, which funds help provide personalized support for patients and supports research grants and advocacy efforts to increase federal pancreatic cancer research funding.
